Role Overview

The Vice President of Growth Operations is a senior leadership role at the center of the company’s growth and operating engine. This executive is accountable for shaping growth strategy, supporting business expansion, overseeing the customer journey, interpreting growth data, and driving collaboration across functions. The role focuses on building a repeatable, data-led growth operating model that brings together marketing, sales operations, customer success, and product growth to improve acquisition, retention, revenue, and overall efficiency at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the company’s growth operations strategy and develop short-, mid-, and long-range growth plans.
  • Create the governance structure and operating framework for the growth function.
  • Align growth initiatives with the organization’s broader business direction.
  • Continuously identify new expansion opportunities, business models, and market directions.
  • Build a growth operating model that connects marketing, sales, customer success, and product operations.
  • Improve the full customer growth journey and strengthen cross-functional execution.
  • Set up standardized processes, operating rhythms, and management controls for growth.
  • Support continuous improvement in growth capability and operational maturity.
  • Design systems for acquisition, conversion, retention, and account expansion across the customer lifecycle.
  • Increase customer lifetime value while reducing customer acquisition cost.
  • Improve satisfaction, loyalty, and renewal performance.
  • Establish growth analytics, operating metrics, and management dashboards.
  • Study funnels, customer behavior, and business performance to guide decisions.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, marketing, economics, data analysis, or a related field is required.
  • An MBA or similar management qualification is preferred.
  • More than 20 years of experience in growth operations, commercial operations, sales operations, or market operations is required.
  • At least 15 years of senior management experience is expected.
  • Background in growth operations, revenue operations (RevOps), or enterprise growth system development is needed.
  • Experience with growth leadership in technology companies, internet platforms, or SaaS businesses is required.
  • Strong ability in growth strategy development.
  • Proven capability in building and improving operating systems.
  • Excellent business analysis and data-based decision-making skills.
  • Strong command of revenue growth and customer lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and growth technology platforms.
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration and organizational leadership skills.
  • Ability to execute high-level strategy and integrate resources effectively.
  • Preferred experience in SaaS, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, or internet platform companies.
  • Preferred experience in RevOps, SalesOps, or GTM system building.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Power BI, and Tableau is preferred.
  • Preferred experience in international growth or global business operations.
  • Preferred experience in building pre-IPO growth systems or supporting rapid corporate expansion.
