Venture Energy is looking to hire a visionary Vice President of Global Strategy to spearhead the design, implementation, and continual refinement of the company's worldwide strategic initiatives. Key Duties
- Drive creation and execution of the global strategic framework aligned with corporate objectives and the company’s overarching vision.
- Discover new international market prospects, identify nascent trends, and evaluate potential alliances to support sustained growth.
- Work closely with the executive team to convert strategic goals into practical operational plans.
- Manage multi-disciplinary strategic projects, ensuring seamless coordination among various departments and regions.
- Perform detailed analysis of markets, competitors, and financial data to inform high-level leadership decisions.
- Assess opportunities for mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and joint ventures aligned with business aims.
- Define and track strategic performance indicators to gauge progress towards critical business milestones.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and marketing to optimize allocation of resources and capital investments on a global scale.
- Act as a valuable consultant to the CEO and executive leadership by delivering data-backed insights and strategic advice.
- Lead, guide, and develop a high-caliber strategy team to uphold excellence in strategic research and implementation.
- Represent the organization in strategic negotiations and conversations with key external partners, investors, and stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of innovation, adaptability, and ongoing enhancement within the strategic management processes.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications such as an MBA strongly preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of expertise in corporate strategy, executive strategic leadership, or management consulting.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and steer large-scale, multinational strategies across various markets.
- Robust financial expertise involving mergers and acquisitions, commercial modeling, and strategic assessments.
- Excellent leadership qualities combined with strong communication and collaboration skills across functions.
- Comprehensive understanding of global business conditions and regulatory frameworks.
- Critical thinking skills with the courage to challenge norms and influence executive decisions and board deliberations.
- Readiness to undertake international travel as business needs dictate.
