Overview
The Vice President of Global Project Collaboration is a senior executive responsible for shaping and directing the company's strategy for collaborating across international projects. This role involves leading partnerships within and outside the organization, ensuring seamless execution of global initiatives, and driving business growth through enhanced collaborative efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise and implement a comprehensive global project collaboration strategy aligning with corporate objectives and international growth.
- Create frameworks to facilitate smooth coordination among worldwide teams, business units, and strategic partners.
- Champion enterprise-wide standards and governance best practices for international project management.
- Advise senior leaders on strategic partnerships and collaborative ventures with external entities.
- Lead multi-disciplinary projects spanning Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Customer Success departments, ensuring effective communication and resource alignment.
- Address and overcome cross-functional challenges impacting project outcomes globally.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with international clients, technology providers, vendors, investors, and strategic allies.
- Identify prospects for joint ventures and alliances supporting business expansion and innovation.
- Support negotiations and planning for collaborative agreements and partnerships.
- Institute governance processes to track project progress, budgets, timelines, quality, and deliverables.
- Generate performance dashboards and reports for executive review.
- Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and advanced adoption of collaboration technologies.
- Manage risks associated with global collaboration, compliance, and stakeholder engagement through mitigation and contingency planning.
- Lead and develop a capable team of global project and program managers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability.
- Oversee departmental budgets, partnerships with consulting firms, and management of collaboration platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Operations Management, International Business, or related disciplines; advanced degree such as MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years in progressively responsible leadership roles encompassing global project management, program oversight, strategic partnerships, or international business operations.
- Successful track record leading multinational and cross-functional initiatives with robust stakeholder management and governance expertise.
- Experience leading distributed teams and managing international collaborations.
- Outstanding skills in leadership, negotiation, communication, and executive-level presentation.
- Strong analytical capabilities, financial acumen, and strategic planning experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in fintech, cryptocurrency, blockchain, financial services, SaaS, technology, healthcare, or multinational enterprises.
- Project management certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or SAFe.
- Proficiency with collaboration and project tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, Planview, or Microsoft Teams.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Lean, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
- Experience with M&A, global expansion, digital transformation, or enterprise modernization initiatives.
- International leadership experience and multilingual communication skills highly valued.
