Overview
The Vice President of Delivery and Operations serves as a senior executive charged with overseeing the implementation and performance of delivery and operational functions across the enterprise. This leadership role ensures the organization consistently meets high standards in product, service, and initiative delivery with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and excellence. It encompasses operational management, process improvement, project execution, and transformative business initiatives to support organizational objectives and maximize customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement enterprise delivery and operations strategies aligned with overarching corporate goals.
- Create scalable operating models aimed at boosting productivity, quality, and customer results.
- Manage delivery of products, programs, and enterprise-wide projects across various business units to ensure timely completion within budget and quality guidelines.
- Standardize delivery processes, governance, and performance measurement systems, while promoting consistent execution via best practices, automation, and optimized workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement by applying methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and other operational excellence frameworks.
- Lead initiatives centered around digital transformation and operational modernization to foster innovation and enhanced scalability.
- Establish executive dashboards and key indicators to monitor operational and delivery performance, risk management, and compliance with governance and service agreements.
- Facilitate collaboration across multiple departments including Technology, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and Marketing to advance enterprise initiatives and support strategic priorities related to mergers, acquisitions, and expansion.
- Direct leadership of operational managers and improvement teams, cultivating high-performing leaders and succession strategies.
- Oversee operational budgets, investment planning, and vendor relations, while regularly presenting performance metrics and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and the Board.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, IT, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline; advanced degrees such as an MBA are preferred.
- Certifications including PMP, Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, Agile, PRINCE2 or equivalents are advantageous.
- A minimum of 12 to 18 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in operations, delivery management, consulting, or enterprise-scale transformation.
- Demonstrated ability leading extensive operational units and delivery functions within large organizations.
- Expertise in operational excellence methodologies, financial oversight, organizational leadership, and strategic operational execution.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
