Role Summary
The Vice President of Customer Relationship Management is a full-time remote leadership position focused on defining and delivering the company’s CRM direction. This person will shape segmentation, engagement, and retention programs so they strengthen sales, marketing, and customer success outcomes. The role also includes overseeing customer data usage, tracking performance measures, improving customer lifetime value, managing CRM systems and workflows, guiding a team of CRM and analytics professionals, and sharing strategic recommendations with executive leadership. The position must also ensure CRM practices meet applicable privacy requirements and can scale with the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the overall CRM strategy and turn it into practical plans and programs.
- Lead the design and improvement of customer segmentation, engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Use customer data and insights to inform targeting, personalization, and decision making.
- Track important CRM metrics and convert performance data into clear actions.
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to align customer efforts.
- Manage CRM tools, platforms, and related operating processes.
- Coach and support CRM and analytics team members.
- Prepare and present strategic recommendations to senior executives.
- Make sure CRM operations follow relevant data privacy standards.
- Build CRM capabilities that support long-term, scalable growth.
Qualifications
- Deep expertise in CRM, including hands-on experience implementing and refining CRM platforms and workflows.
- Ability to build market segmentation and customer insight strategies for targeted campaigns and personalized experiences.
- Strong analytical capability to work with complex data, create dashboards, monitor KPIs, and turn findings into action.
- Experience in sales or customer-facing environments, with the ability to connect CRM work to revenue outcomes and sales effectiveness.
- Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional settings, along with strong communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in customer experience, retention, or lifecycle marketing, preferably in a fast-moving growth environment.
- Comfort working with remote teams and maintaining strong organization and collaboration across distances.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related discipline; an advanced degree or equivalent experience is an advantage.
