Job description

About the organization

AssistRx is a technology solutions company headquartered in Orlando, Florida. It works with pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturers, helping them connect more effectively with patients, providers, and pharmacies. Its flagship platform, iAssist℠, streamlines the prescribing journey for specialty therapies by combining several technology capabilities that are intended to improve accuracy, adherence, access, and speed to treatment.

Role overview

The Vice President of Infrastructure Services is responsible for the strategy, execution, and ongoing improvement of enterprise infrastructure and end-user technology operations. The role is centered on delivering dependable, scalable, and cost-efficient services that keep business operations running smoothly in a healthcare call center setting.

This position leads five function areas: production infrastructure, telephony, commercial off-the-shelf application support, end-user technology and support, and the Project Management Office.

What this role will drive

  • Move the organization from a mostly reactive support model to a proactive one.
  • Build a service management approach that is guided by metrics and measurable performance.
  • Plan and implement a phased transition from colocation infrastructure to a secure hybrid/cloud environment.
  • Advance and expand telephony platforms to better support the business.
  • Introduce AI and automation to strengthen reliability and improve efficiency.

Leadership and strategy

  • Set and deliver the enterprise infrastructure roadmap in line with business priorities, including migration from colocation to secure hybrid/cloud platforms and the use of AI and automation.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and create a culture built on accountability, innovation, and strong service standards.
  • Develop future leaders and strengthen the organization’s capabilities in automation, platform engineering, and data-led operations.

Infrastructure and service operations

  • Oversee the architecture, implementation, and daily operation of servers, storage, cloud environments, telephony, and end-user computing, with a focus on availability, performance, and reliability.
  • Manage end-user technology services, including device lifecycle processes and service desk operations.
  • Direct incident, problem, and change management with an emphasis on resolving root causes and maintaining operational stability.

Transformation and solution design

  • Own the design of infrastructure and workplace technology solutions, converting business needs into scalable and supportable architectures.
  • Lead migration planning and execution across rehost, replatform, refactor, and retire approaches, supported by governance and business case alignment.
  • Strengthen proactive service management through monitoring, automation, and preventative maintenance, while using cloud adoption to improve resilience, visibility, and standardization.
  • Define service levels, KPIs, and operational reporting that improve performance and the user experience.

AI enablement and innovation

  • Identify and prioritize AI use cases across infrastructure and service operations, such as predictive monitoring, intelligent ticket routing, virtual support agents, and capacity forecasting.
  • Create governance, standards, and outcome measures for AI adoption, ensuring the cloud and data foundation can support scale.

Requirements and qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required; an advanced degree is preferred. The role calls for more than 10 years of progressive leadership in IT infrastructure and service operations, including enterprise infrastructure, end-user computing, and service desk leadership. Candidates should have a proven record of leading operational transformation and increasing service maturity. Strong financial management, vendor management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills are important, along with solid knowledge of hybrid/cloud platforms, endpoint management, and IT service management practices. Experience leading cloud migration in legacy and hybrid environments is preferred, as is experience with large-scale telephony infrastructure in a call center. Background in automation, analytics, or AI-driven operations is also preferred. Experience in healthcare or another regulated environment is an advantage.

Benefits and additional information

  • Supportive, forward-looking, fast-paced workplace.
  • Competitive compensation structure.
  • 401(k) matching with immediate vesting.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability coverage.
