Role overview
This is a senior, full-time remote leadership position responsible for shaping and driving the organization’s technology direction. The Vice President of Information Technology will own the IT vision and multi-year roadmap, ensuring that systems, platforms, and processes support a high-availability, low-latency blockchain environment.
What you will do
- Set the overall IT strategy and translate business priorities into a practical technology roadmap.
- Oversee enterprise IT operations, infrastructure, security, and business applications.
- Lead distributed technology teams and provide coaching, direction, and support.
- Manage IT budgets and build effective relationships with external vendors and partners.
- Strengthen governance, compliance, and risk controls across all technology systems.
- Drive the delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution.
- Introduce best practices that improve reliability, scalability, and security.
- Partner with executive leadership, engineering, product, and security teams to support growth and innovation.
- Maintain operational excellence while enabling rapid business expansion.
Requirements
- Solid experience leading enterprise IT functions, including infrastructure, cloud platforms, and business systems in a high-availability setting.
- Proven track record in IT leadership, with responsibility for managing teams, budgets, and scalable operating processes.
- Ability to define and execute an IT strategy that supports organizational goals and long-term technology needs.
- Strong project management capability for coordinating complex, cross-functional initiatives within time and scope commitments.
- Experience with strategic planning, including multi-year investment planning, risk management, and ongoing service improvement.
- Prior exposure to fintech, financial services, or blockchain/web3 environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder influence, and executive-level decision-making skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Advanced education or certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or cloud credentials are advantageous.
