The company values collaborative efforts that foster impactful and sustainable achievements, encouraging boldness to transcend limitations personally and professionally to create significant global influence.

Role Overview

The Vice President of the India Global Capability Center (GCC) based in Chennai will be responsible for expanding and managing this strategic hub for engineering, operations, and business support. This leadership role focuses on fortifying functional leadership, scaling up the center while maintaining high standards, and establishing Chennai as a reliable execution anchor for the corporation's global teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the growth and management of the Chennai GCC by refining the operational model, recruitment strategies, leadership frameworks, and cross-regional coordination.
  • Enhance leadership capacity by recruiting essential leadership roles, mentoring current leaders, and defining clear responsibilities throughout GCC functions.
  • Guarantee execution quality by ensuring teams deliver dependable results in robotics software, application development, data analytics, cloud/platform services, second-level support, and IT operations.
  • Uphold technical excellence by engaging deeply with technology decisions, challenging underlying assumptions, evaluating alternatives, and aligning engineering work with business objectives.
  • Foster a team culture characterized by humility, confidence, purposefulness, ownership, collaboration, and dedication to long-term goals.

Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstrated technical expertise and a keen curiosity to deeply understand and relate technology initiatives to business results.
  • Proven success in leading and scaling teams, encompassing hiring, leadership development, expectation management, and organizational problem resolution.
  • Experience executing complex projects, ideally within robotics, industrial automation, logistics technology, deep technology, or enterprise software domains.
  • A long-term, mission-focused approach aligned with building sustainable logistics infrastructure rather than short-term gains.
  • A leadership style that balances humility and confidence, excellent English communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams in Japan, India, and globally.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Opportunity to contribute to global advancements at the cutting edge of robotics and artificial intelligence.
  • Competitive salary package paired with stock options.
  • Exposure to challenging and innovative problems tackled using diverse technologies and tools.
