Role Overview

The Vice President & General Manager for the EMEA region will spearhead sales initiatives, acting as Duck Creek’s senior representative to customers, partners, and the industry. This leadership role oversees regional growth, revenue, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across all functions within EMEA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive EMEA sales strategy to build a robust pipeline, accurate revenue forecasts, and meet or exceed bookings targets.
  • Lead enterprise sales teams throughout EMEA, enhancing sales effectiveness and competitive positioning with a consultative approach.
  • Create strategies to win large-scale core system transformation deals, including attracting new customers and displacing existing technologies.
  • Serve as the executive sponsor for major sales pursuits, strategic clients, and transformation projects.
  • Represent Duck Creek publicly by engaging with insurers, partners, analysts, and industry groups, cultivating strong C-suite relationships.
  • Deliver compelling presentations that highlight Duck Creek’s cloud-native, modular SaaS offerings.
  • Stay informed about evolving regulations, competitive landscapes, and modernization trends impacting P&C insurers in the region.
  • Provide dotted-line management to regional non-sales teams including marketing, delivery, customer success, and operations to ensure alignment and integrated customer engagement.
  • Collaborate globally with product, engineering, marketing, and services teams to adapt strategies for local markets and maintain high standards.
  • Manage regional performance metrics encompassing pipeline health, revenue, customer satisfaction, and overall business growth.
  • Ensure accountability across all teams to achieve quarterly and annual business goals.
  • Report regularly to executives on performance, risks, and strategic prospects.

Candidate Profile and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years in senior leadership or general management roles within enterprise software, preferably with experience in P&C insurance core systems or InsurTech.
  • Experience with reinsurance and London Markets is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in selling large-scale P&C core insurance platforms spanning Policy, Billing, Claims, Rating, and Digital solutions across EMEA.
  • Strong background in competitive, complex sales cycles and winning multi-year core system transformation contracts, often RFP based.
  • Adept at managing long sales cycles with complex stakeholder involvement including executive and board-level decision makers.
  • History of consistently exceeding sales and booking objectives.
  • Experience building and expanding enterprise sales teams covering diverse markets in EMEA.
  • Expertise in positioning cloud-first SaaS solutions against legacy competitors.
  • Trusted advisor status among C-suite executives for digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting technical and business content to a broad range of audiences.
  • Competitive, results-oriented leadership style with resilience for high-pressure sales environments.
  • Strong business acumen, financial insight, and emotional intelligence for sound decision-making.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud computing, SaaS, and modern enterprise architectures.
  • Availability to travel up to 30-50% across the EMEA region.
