Vice President - Corporate Banking

Role overview

A global banking client is looking to hire a Vice President for its Corporate Banking division in Frankfurt. The position sits at the centre of client coverage, relationship building, business origination, and transaction execution, with a focus on large corporate customers.

The role will play an important part in shaping client engagement, strengthening commercial partnerships, and identifying new opportunities with existing as well as prospective clients.

The coverage mandate is centered on sub-investment grade clients across Germany and Austria.

Key responsibilities

In this position, you will be expected to lead client interactions, support new business generation, and help drive deal flow from initial origination through execution. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to advance transactions and deepen strategic relationships.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate will bring a strong record of performance in corporate banking, including a history of sourcing new clients and developing business within the corporate segment. A broad professional network, solid relationship-building ability, and the confidence to use those connections commercially are essential.

You should also have hands-on experience with recourse and non-recourse senior debt solutions, along with strong negotiation, communication, project coordination, and transaction management capabilities. The ability to work effectively across all levels of an organisation, present professionally, influence stakeholders, and understand the full corporate banking product set is also important.

Fluency in both English and German is required.
