Vertex Test Engineer

Role Overview

This role requires an individual with over six years of experience in testing, specifically strong functional expertise with the Vertex system components such as Sites, Forms, Assets, Digital Asset Management (DAM), Workflows, Templates, and Components.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and reviewing test cases involving complex tax content setups including rules, codes, rates, and jurisdiction logic.
• Leading and managing QA efforts with at least three years of direct QA experience on the Vertex Tax Engine and three years serving as a Test Lead within Agile environments.
• Planning and facilitating Agile ceremonies.
• Overseeing a QA team of more than ten members, including career development management.
• Developing and executing test strategies and methodologies.
• Engaging in test case design, reviews, and defect tracking.
• Utilizing Azure DevOps for hands-on test management preferred.
• Managing stakeholder communication and reporting including daily, weekly, and closure reports.
• Estimating testing efforts, resource planning, and establishing testing teams.
• Training and onboarding new team members in Salesforce-related processes.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong functional knowledge of Vertex components and tax engine systems.
• Deep understanding of testing processes, test strategies, and defect management.
• Experience in Agile methodology and ceremony planning.
• Proficiency in test case design and review as well as defect management tools.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for test case management.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
