Role Overview
AVR Uniforms is seeking a diligent and proactive female Vendor Relationship Manager to oversee and nurture relationships with vendors and suppliers. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring efficient procurement and seamless vendor operations by leveraging strong communication, negotiation, and coordination capabilities.
Key Duties
- Manage and strengthen connections with current vendors while actively identifying and establishing new vendor partnerships.
- Source, assess, and onboard vendors for fabrics, accessories, packaging, and other procurement needs.
- Solicit quotations, perform price comparisons, and negotiate optimal commercial terms.
- Follow up on samples, purchase orders, deliveries, and outstanding materials from vendors.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Merchandising, Accounts, and Dispatch departments to guarantee timely supply of materials.
- Address vendor-related challenges such as delivery delays, quality issues, and documentation discrepancies.
- Maintain comprehensive vendor records, including databases, quotations, rate sheets, and procurement documentation.
- Monitor vendor performance and facilitate timely communication.
- Coordinate with the Accounts team to ensure prompt payment follow-ups.
Eligibility Criteria
- Possess 1 to 3 years of experience in Vendor Management, Procurement, Purchase, Supply Chain, or related functions.
- Preferably have industry experience in Garment, Uniform, Textile, or Manufacturing sectors.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation techniques and vendor management expertise.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Google Sheets, Email, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with ERP software is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Exhibit excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
