About the Company and Position

Regent Automobile Valuers & Assessors is a leading firm in East Africa specializing in automotive valuation, inspections, and accident assessments. The company is expanding its accident management division and seeks motivated and meticulous professionals to join as Accident Assessment & Vehicle Inspection Officers based in Kenya.

Primary Duties

  • Perform thorough inspections of vehicles that have sustained accident damage.
  • Evaluate the damage extent and generate detailed damage assessment reports.
  • Identify parts that require repairs or replacements.
  • Calculate labor and repair expenses following industry benchmarks.
  • Capture clear photographic evidence and documentation during inspections.
  • Detect previous repair works, structural issues, and hidden faults.
  • Prepare professional reports adhering to set deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with insurance providers, repair shops, fleet owners, and vehicle owners as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with company quality assurance protocols and applicable industry standards.
  • Utilize digital inspection tools and mobile apps to conduct assessments.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related fields.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in accident assessment, vehicle inspection, or insurance motor claims processing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle structures, bodywork repairs, mechanical systems, and accident damage evaluation.
  • Competency in accurately estimating repair costs.
  • Strong communication skills for report writing.
  • Proficiency in computer use and mobile inspection technologies.
  • Valid Kenyan driving license Class B or higher.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across designated regions.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience collaborating with insurance firms, loss adjusters, vehicle assessors, or authorized repair facilities.
  • Certifications related to automotive assessment or vehicle inspection.
  • Familiarity with digital and AI-assisted vehicle inspection platforms.
