Overview
Neway Valve is seeking qualified and experienced individuals to join their Valve Service Workshop located in the Qatar Gulf Maintenance hub. The company has openings for specialized technical roles including Valve Technician, Instrument Technician - Valves, and Machinist - Valve Shop.
Available Positions & Qualifications
- Valve Technician: Requires ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, complemented by 5 to 10 years of experience in industrial valve maintenance, repair, and testing. Candidates should have hands-on knowledge of gate, globe, ball, butterfly, control, and safety relief valves. Proficiency in dismantling, inspection, lapping, assembly, pressure testing, and calibration of valves is essential.
- Instrument Technician – Valves: Requires ITI or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Control Engineering with 5 to 10 years of valve instrumentation or maintenance experience. Experience should include working with control valves, actuated valves, positioners, actuators, and limit switches; troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuators; and familiarity with HART/FIELDBUS communicators, TREX, loop calibrators, and interpreting P&ID drawings.
- Machinist – Valve Shop: Requires ITI or Diploma in Machinist, Fitter, Mechanical Engineering, or a related trade with 5 to 10 years of machining experience in valve repair workshops preferred. Skills needed include operating lathe, milling, drilling, and grinding machines, machining and refurbishing valve components such as stems, seats, bushings, shafts, and flanges, and reading mechanical drawings with precision regarding dimensions and tolerances.
General Requirements

- Effective problem-solving capabilities and ability to work collaboratively within teams.
- Experience in oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, or power plant environments is preferred.
- Candidates with prior valve workshop experience will receive preferential consideration.
- Applicants currently residing in Qatar will be advantaged.
