Position Overview

We seek a proactive and dedicated Valeter to join our team at the Nottingham Motorstore. This vital role involves maintaining vehicles to showroom-standard cleanliness and appearance, supporting the dealership’s professional presentation.

Working Hours

Full-time schedule: Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 5:30pm, Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm, alternate Saturdays 8:00am to 12:00pm.

Main Duties

• Present vehicles sold or in stock with superior cleanliness standards
• Use high-pressure washers to clean vehicle exteriors effectively
• Perform interior grooming including vacuuming and shampooing
• Operate polishing and buffing equipment to enhance vehicle body finish
• Adhere to health and safety protocols when using chemicals and equipment
• Ensure maintenance and safe storage of machinery, report faults promptly, and follow all manufacturer and PPE guidelines
• Meet specified timelines and targets for vehicle preparation
• Manage vehicle scheduling through online diary systems
• Record daily completed tasks accurately
• Perform other branch support functions as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Possession of a current full UK driving licence
• Basic proficiency in computer use
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Self-driven with ability to collaborate effectively within a team
• Capability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Willingness to engage in training and skills development programs

While prior valet experience is favored, it is not mandatory. Training will be provided to enthusiastic candidates meeting the criteria. All new valeters will attend the company’s Valet Academy.
