Job description
Company Overview
Remilia Corporation is developing a new social platform that challenges traditional social media by integrating elements inspired by Xanadu, MMO and social-game design, and personal knowledge systems.
Role Overview
This position involves designing interfaces for a complex knowledge graph underlying a social network. The platform features include game-like progression and economy systems, community structures similar to guilds rather than conventional social feeds.
Key Responsibilities
- Design user interfaces for web and mobile platforms covering diverse features such as a rich-text editor for long-form content, real-time presence-enabled chat, modular customizable profiles, avatar and cosmetic customizations, community spaces with governance and identity, progression and leaderboard mechanics, and an in-app economy with earned and purchased items.
- Create and sustain a cohesive design system shared across product components.
- Deliver production-ready designs within concise development cycles.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to implement feasible solutions.
- Innovate new interaction patterns where no established models exist, drawing on game UX and early web platform concepts.
Required Qualifications
- A portfolio showcasing successfully launched digital products.
- Expertise in Figma and developing component-based design systems.
- Deep understanding of front-end development limitations and mobile-first design principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with game UX, social platforms, or community-oriented products is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from $45,000 to $165,000 annually.
- Equity participation and comprehensive benefits package including health insurance.
- Generous paid time off and lifestyle stipends.
- Supportive and creative studio work environment.
Additional Information
