Position Overview
Boldist is seeking a dedicated Digital Designer who embraces ownership of design challenges beyond simple tasks. The selected candidate will steer the entire design cycle, from conducting research to delivering developer-ready assets, collaborating closely with the team to grasp client requirements and devise effective solutions. The core responsibility involves crafting responsive website and eCommerce interfaces for agency clients, along with occasional UI design projects for web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design responsive page layouts using Figma, ensuring adaptability across devices.
- Create wireframes and manage component libraries to maintain design consistency.
- Prepare comprehensive design specifications for efficient developer handoff.
- Collaborate with team members to tackle complex design problems and balance multiple projects simultaneously.
Prerequisites & Skills Required
- Minimum of three years' professional design experience, preferably within an agency or multi-client setting.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, auto-layout, variants, prototyping, and design tokens.
- A strong portfolio illustrating responsive web design achievements beyond mobile application design.
- Competence in progressing from wireframes to high-fidelity, developer-ready mockups.
- Sound understanding of responsive design methodologies and how they translate into code.
- Excellent skills in typography, layout arrangement, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience in creating and sustaining design systems and component libraries.
- Knowledge of eCommerce UX patterns, such as product details, checkout procedures, and navigation structures.
- Effective communication skills to clearly articulate design decisions.
- Portfolio showcasing live websites developed based on your designs.
Desirable Qualifications
- Familiarity with WordPress and Shopify platform design.
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS to improve collaboration with developers.
- Experience with user research and usability assessments.
- A strong grasp of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
- Skills in motion design and micro-interactions.
