Job description

About Forcepoint

Forcepoint builds security solutions for enterprises and governments around the world. Its cloud-native, all-in-one platform is designed to help organizations adopt Zero Trust more easily and protect sensitive information and intellectual property wherever work happens. The company has been operating for more than 20 years, employs around 2.7k people, serves customers in 150 countries, supports 11k+ customers, and holds 300+ patents. If the mission of helping create a safer world appeals to you, this role may be a strong fit.

Role Overview

Forcepoint is hiring a UX Product Designer to drive a full redesign of the DSPM (Data Security Posture Management) platform so that its appearance becomes modern, high-tech, minimal, and polished, without losing clarity, structure, or usability. This is a hands-on product design position focused on helping security teams interpret complex data more easily while also setting strong design standards that keep the product consistent over time.

You will act as the link between design direction and implementation, collaborating closely with frontend engineers to deliver high-fidelity experiences and ensure that each release maintains a strong user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in close partnership with the UX design lead, product owners, and engineering teams to define UX needs early, stay involved through build, QA, and release, and make design decisions that account for technical feasibility.
  • Develop a contemporary visual style, interaction approach for data-rich interfaces, and a consistent design system with tokens, components, and patterns that can guide future work.
  • Redesign DSPM analytics features such as charts, tables, filters, data cards, gauges, and similar elements, using clear information architecture and visual hierarchy to make complex information easier to scan and act on.
  • Review the experience regularly using established usability principles such as Nielsen’s heuristics, document gaps, and prioritize improvements to address them.
  • Design layered, multi-step workflows for security operations including threat detection, policy enforcement, and risk assessment, while using AI-supported design tools to speed up ideation and prototyping where useful.
  • Collaborate deeply with frontend engineers in a component-led implementation model, treating them as core design partners rather than downstream recipients of handoff work.
  • Create design specifications, including Figma prototypes and interaction notes, to support implementation and enable rapid iteration during development.
  • Audit the final experience before launch and provide design sign-off to ensure quality is maintained at release.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience designing enterprise software products for desktop environments.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong work in data visualization, dashboards, tables, and complex workflows.
  • Evidence of having designed or led component libraries or pattern systems.
  • Strong visual design quality with a modern, polished, and user-centered approach.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, which is expected to be the primary design tool.
  • Experience working with design systems or component libraries that you have owned or significantly helped build.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and strong visual design judgment.
  • A usability-focused mindset that evaluates work against established heuristics rather than relying only on intuition.
  • A collaborative approach that works effectively with engineers and product teams.
  • Preference for candidates with enterprise security or B2B product experience.
  • Interest in or familiarity with AI design tools, or a willingness to learn them.
  • Experience designing for technical or power-user audiences rather than consumer-facing products.
  • Strong product thinking, including an understanding of end-to-end product behavior and system-level design.

How You Work

  • You pay close attention to visual and interaction details while still keeping the experience practical and usable.
  • You handle trade-offs well by breaking large initiatives into manageable pieces and balancing design goals with delivery timelines and resource limits.
  • You take time to understand the product, the security workflows, the user mindset, and the competitive landscape before designing solutions.
  • You proactively identify gaps and opportunities instead of waiting for tasks to be assigned.
  • You communicate design rationale clearly to engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
  • You welcome feedback early and continuously and adjust based on evidence rather than assumptions.
  • You focus on shipping work that reaches users and improves through real-world learning.
