Role Overview
A pioneering organization is seeking a UX Designer skilled in digital illustration to join their innovative team on a temporary contract basis. This opportunity involves crafting unique illustrated visuals for mobile, tablet, and web applications, contributing to engaging user experiences within a dynamic company environment.
Location and Work Schedule
- Work can be performed onsite in Glendale, Burbank, Seattle, or Orlando.
- The position includes a 12-month contract with potential extensions.
- Work days are Monday through Thursday onsite, with Friday as a remote workday, allowing for some schedule flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive UI digital product design efforts from initial concept through to delivery.
- Create custom illustrations, wireframes, sketches, visual designs, and polished graphical assets.
- Collaborate across departments to gather project requirements, understand user needs, and align with business objectives.
- Enhance and expand current visual design systems consistent with industry best practices.
- Improve and contribute to design patterns to raise overall product quality.
- Present design concepts and visual explorations to stakeholders, including company leadership.
- Produce high-quality, production-ready design assets with precision.
- Engage in design critiques, reviews, and collaborative brainstorming sessions to refine work.
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of three years’ professional design experience, ideally within branded campaigns, commerce, hospitality, or entertainment sectors.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating capability in illustration and visual storytelling across diverse styles and media.
- Proven experience employing a user-centered design methodology throughout product development.
- Firm understanding of visual design principles, including layout, color theory, two-dimensional design, and animation.
- Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Experience with interactive prototyping; familiarity with Adobe XD is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Art or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
