About the Role
Join Information Design as a UX Designer shaping the way aviation professionals interact with complex datasets. You will be involved in every step from concept development to product delivery, translating complicated business and technical needs into intuitive UX designs. Additionally, AI tools are embedded in your workflow to enhance design efficiency and creativity. Your responsibility is to ensure that our solutions function effectively and provide a seamless user experience across all products.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain deep insights into user requirements, rigorously test assumptions, and ensure solutions function appropriately in real operational environments.
- Work closely with product management and development teams to convert customer needs into user-centric UX designs, including information architectures and user flows that simplify intricate aviation procedures.
- Integrate AI technologies to accelerate the transition from ideas to prototypes, exploring various iterations and validating design choices.
- Maintain and enhance the design system, ensuring consistent visual identity and high-quality UI components across all products.
- Collaborate with developers to evaluate the feasibility of designs and support the implementation process through completion.
- Assume increasing responsibility by eventually owning the design for specific products end-to-end.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in UI/UX design, preferably with data-heavy technical B2B software.
- Expertise in Figma as the primary design tool.
- Knowledgeable in information architecture, user flow design, and building/using design systems.
- Ability to effectively embed AI tools such as Claude and Figma AI into daily design processes.
- Skilled in simplifying complex and technical requirements into clear and engaging design solutions.
- Possess a relevant degree in interface design, human-computer interaction, or similar, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluent communication skills in both German and English.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Work independently in a methodical way while being a cooperative team member.
What Information Design Offers
- Collaborative, flat organizational structure promoting openness, quick decision-making, and no micromanagement.
- Creative autonomy that fosters curiosity and individuality, enabling you to influence product direction.
- Diverse project portfolio within a leading aviation technology company serving international clients like airlines, airports, and air traffic control entities.
- Access to advanced design and AI tools integrated into everyday workflows.
- Flexible location options with the choice to work fully remotely anywhere in Germany or at the Frankfurt office.
- Possibility for "workations" allowing work from other EU countries.
- Regular company gatherings including two large-scale corporate events annually plus team-specific meetups.
