Role Overview

As a UX Designer (Consultant) at Kainos, you will create intuitive and user-focused service experiences aligned with design thinking and user-centered design principles. Your role includes managing and mentoring a small team, focusing on performance management and supporting career growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate design strategies effectively to senior stakeholders
• Select and apply appropriate ideation techniques suited to project goals and business context
• Use journey mapping to derive business and customer insights
• Coordinate prototype development to facilitate user testing and development phases
• Conduct usability testing and integrate research insights into design strategies
• Collaborate in developing new information architectures informed by analysis and research
• Promote accessibility standards and adherence to AD guidelines across projects
• Guide teams and stakeholders on user-centered design best practices throughout the project lifecycle
• Mentor junior team members and act as a UX design representative within the company
• Manage, coach, and develop staff to enhance their skills and career progression

Desirable Experience

• Familiarity with Agile delivery methods
• Experience conducting or supporting research to analyze content needs
• Background in full-service digital agency environments
• Active participation in UX communities such as online forums or professional conferences
