Job description
Overview
The position involves performing a range of custodial, groundskeeping, mechanical, basic electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance and repair tasks as assigned within Lodi High School.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute general maintenance and repairs on district furniture, buildings, fixtures, and facilities.
- Operate hand and power tools, equipment used in maintenance, cleaning, and preservation.
- Maintain classrooms, offices, and school facilities in a clean, safe, and secure manner.
- Arrange and move furniture and equipment to support meetings and special events.
- Identify and report safety hazards and requirements for repairs or maintenance.
- Keep routine records and meet designated schedules and timeframes.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and directions effectively.
- Work cooperatively within a team environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Knowledge of general maintenance methods, cleaning materials, disinfectants, and equipment.
- Ability to perform minor repairs, operate tools, maintain safe conditions, and follow instructions.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or higher education degrees such as Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
- Valid California driver's license is required.
- Successful candidates must undergo tuberculosis testing and fingerprinting if from out-of-district.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical exam, which is paid by the district.
- Potential practical skills test during interview.
