Job description

Role Overview

Think Academy U.S. is hiring a full-time User Operations Specialist to support its English Language Arts program in San Jose, California. The role is based at 1245 S Winchester Blvd, San Jose, and the expected start is as soon as possible.

About the Company

Think Academy US is a newly launched education technology company focused on K-12 extracurricular learning. The organization aims to strengthen children’s critical thinking and logic skills through science- and technology-driven teaching methods, with the belief that care and innovation can improve education.

What This Role Focuses On

This position is centered on turning English education trends into practical content and experiences that connect with U.S. parents. The specialist will help increase participation in events, trial classes, and both short- and long-term enrollments.

The job involves close coordination with curriculum, teaching, and marketing teams across the entire lifecycle of English learning initiatives, including planning, execution, parent community engagement, and content distribution.

Content-Led User Growth

  • Track English learning trends, popular topics, and parent signals across relevant platforms.
  • Convert those insights into content that feels clear and relevant for U.S. parents.
  • Adapt content into formats suited for different channels such as community posts, short copy, and event materials.
  • Move users from public platforms into learning communities and program offerings.
  • Work with the marketing team to keep content output aligned with project timelines and objectives.

Community, User, and Event Operations

  • Communicate directly with parents and gather feedback to build user understanding.
  • Manage English learning communities across email, WhatsApp, Facebook, Reddit, and similar platforms.
  • Plan and run growth activities such as trial classes, assessments, workshops, and challenge camps.
  • Shape the cadence of activities and touchpoints so parents move from initial participation to stronger interest and conversion.
  • Monitor operational metrics such as registrations, participation, and retention, then improve SOPs based on the results.

Conversion and Funnel Development

  • Design and refine the complete journey from first contact to program enrollment.
  • Create standardized conversion SOPs covering communication timing, follow-up methods, and milestone tracking.
  • Understand how parents make decisions and continuously improve messaging and communication frameworks.
  • Use data to raise conversion performance, spot drop-off points, and suggest fixes.
  • Improve the efficiency and return on investment of event-to-enrollment conversion efforts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with curriculum, teaching, and marketing teams to turn learning goals into parent-facing activities.
  • Collect project data and support performance reviews.
  • Continuously streamline workflows and SOPs to improve execution.

Required Profile

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher is required; education, English, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong English writing and speaking ability is needed, with English usable as a working language. IELTS 7.0+ or TOEFL 100+ is referenced as a benchmark.
  • The candidate should be organized, dependable, and able to manage time effectively.
  • A strong comfort with data is important, including the ability to monitor results and review performance objectively.
  • Good parent communication skills and the ability to understand user concerns are essential.
  • Working proficiency in both English and Mandarin is mandatory.

Preferred Background

  • 1–2 years of experience in education, project operations, marketing, or community management is preferred.
  • Exposure to U.S. K–12 education, English learning, or student development is an advantage.
  • Experience with community operations, event planning, project execution, and enrollment conversion will be helpful.

What You Can Expect

  • Room to grow into project management, subject operations, education product, or leadership roles.
  • An opportunity to help build and refine the English program from an early stage.
  • A chance to contribute directly to English education for North American families.
  • Strong development in user insight and operations capabilities, especially around parent needs and conversion behavior.
  • Exposure to cross-cultural collaboration in Silicon Valley and the broader U.S. tech environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The total compensation package is listed at $85,000 to $100,000. This includes a base salary of $69,000 to $75,000, optional teaching pay of $12,000 to $15,000, and a teaching/performance bonus of up to 15%.

Benefits include 401(k) participation, health insurance, vision insurance, and dental insurance. Relocation assistance is available, and H1B sponsorship may be offered to eligible candidates. There may also be opportunities to collaborate with international offices, work with headquarters, or pursue cross-border career paths.
