Job description
About the Company
Harmattan AI is a new-generation defense prime focused on building autonomous, scalable defense systems. After closing a $200M Series B round that valued the business at $1.4 billion, the company is growing its teams and capabilities to deliver mission-critical solutions for allied forces.
The organization is driven by a clear set of principles: creating technology with tangible impact, aiming for excellence, setting bold goals, and tackling difficult technical problems. The work environment is demanding and expects strong ownership, discipline, and reliable execution.
About the Role
This position serves as the main Talent Acquisition lead for US operations. The person in this role will build candidate pipelines, secure top-tier hires, and work closely with the Global Head of Talent in Paris to deliver the local hiring plan. It is a high-volume, high-standard recruiting role with substantial autonomy and direct exposure to leadership. The role may also involve supporting HR-related matters as the US entity continues to develop.
Responsibilities
- Own the full recruitment cycle for technical, operational, and support roles in the US organization.
- Create sourcing plans tailored to the US talent market and hiring needs.
- Work with hiring managers across regions to clarify role expectations, align on candidate profiles, and keep searches progressing smoothly.
- Handle sourcing, screening, interviews, offer preparation, and pre-boarding through Ashby, the company ATS.
- Manage simultaneous high-volume hiring initiatives and senior-level searches.
- Strengthen Harmattan AI’s employer presence in the US, especially within defense technology and autonomous systems talent communities.
- Track pipeline information and US headcount reporting, and proactively highlight risks and recommendations to the Paris team.
- Assist with HR tasks such as onboarding support and local compliance questions.
Candidate Profile
- At least 6 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, preferably in a fast-growing technology, deep-tech, or industrial setting.
- Demonstrated success handling both large-scale hiring and senior-level searches at the same time.
- Strong knowledge of the US hiring market and established connections in engineering, defense, and technical talent networks.
- Practical experience with ATS tools, with Ashby considered an advantage, and familiarity with HRIS platforms.
- Highly analytical and metrics-oriented, with the ability to monitor funnel data, identify risks early, and communicate clearly with leadership.
- Self-directed and decisive, comfortable moving quickly, making informed decisions with limited information, and escalating issues appropriately.
Additional Information
This role is based in the United States and is a full-time, onsite position.
The listing does not specify salary, perks, application deadline, or vacancy count.
