Enjoy a stable salaried position with an excellent benefits package.

  • Take advantage of nearby outdoor activities like mountain biking, trail running, and hiking at Mount Wellington (kunanyi) before your shifts.
  • Explore Hobart's renowned food, art, and craft distillery scenes.
  • Benefit from the city’s compactness, with all key locations within a 10-minute drive, replacing long commutes with quality lifestyle time.

Remuneration and Benefits

  • Competitive annual salary of $387,140 pro rata, equating to $14,890 per fortnight or approximately $1,489 per 8-hour shift.
  • Opportunity to maximize earnings by specializing in afternoon and weekend coverage.
  • Available on both part-time and full-time bases, providing financial security with salaried benefits.
  • Generous paid leave entitlements including 4 weeks annual leave and 10 days personal leave annually (pro rata for part-time).
  • Fully funded Advanced Life Support Level 2 (ALS2) training and certification, including paid time off for training.
  • Focus on acute care with exposure to a variety of cases, minor trauma management, and acute medicine without any overnight on-call duties.
  • Work with experienced acute-care nurses and immediate access to co-located diagnostic resources.

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • Fellowship with FRACGP or FACRRM is mandatory.
  • Current, unrestricted Specialist Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Possession of current ALS2 certification or willingness to complete paid training.
  • Confidence in managing emergency presentations and performing minor procedures such as suturing.
