Work Location and Schedule
This position is located at the Granny Smith Gold Mine in Laverton, Western Australia. The site is owner-operated and heavily invests in cutting-edge mining technology and equipment. Employees will fly FIFO from Perth and work an 8/6, 7/7 roster covering day and night shifts.
Opportunity Overview
We are searching for an Underground Heavy Duty (HD) Fitter to join the Mobile Maintenance team at Granny Smith Mine. This role offers long-term job security and stability with a global leader in gold production.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Formal heavy mechanical trade qualification recognized in Australia or Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology
- Automotive Air Conditioning Licence is a plus
- High risk licenses such as Forklift, Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Basic Rigging, and Dogging are desirable
- Valid Western Australia manual driver's license is required at minimum
- Experience within mining environments, ideally underground mining
- Strong mechanical skills on heavy mining equipment with expertise in servicing, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, and hydraulic system schematic interpretation
- Experience with SAP software is advantageous
Applicants with experience in heavy mining equipment maintenance on surface or open pit operations, including newly qualified tradespeople, are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet all criteria.
