Role Overview

As the inaugural UI/UX Product Designer at Trustonic, you will play a pivotal role in defining the user experience for our B2B SaaS and B2B2C mobile products. Working alongside Product Managers and Engineers from early discovery through to delivery, you'll be responsible for enhancing user interactions across web and mobile platforms. This role allows you complete ownership of the design cycle while balancing user needs, technical aspects, and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fully manage the design lifecycle across SaaS platforms and mobile apps, beginning with problem identification through to deployed solutions.
  • Refine existing user flows, interfaces, and workflows for web and mobile applications to improve usability.
  • Define user experience and interface designs for new product features and capabilities.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and final high-fidelity designs that communicate design intentions clearly.
  • Transform complex tech/business needs into straightforward, user-friendly experiences.
  • Advocate for accessibility, usability, and industry design best practices in all product experiences.
  • Develop and maintain a design system including components, patterns, tokens, and documentation to ensure consistency.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to streamline wireframe-to-code workflows and design handovers.
  • Support scalable design processes aligned with long-term product growth.
  • Conduct lightweight user research, gathering qualitative and quantitative data to validate product opportunities.
  • Define user personas and audience segments for business and consumer-facing solutions.
  • Test concepts through prototypes, usability evaluations, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Work closely with multiple teams—in Product, Engineering, Delivery, Support, and Commercial—to align design with operational and commercial goals.
  • Introduce AI-enabled tools to enhance research, design, and development workflows.
  • Remain updated on emerging design trends, tools, and practices to continually enhance design maturity within the company.

Candidate Profile

  • A designer with a strong user-focus who enjoys crafting practical solutions to complex challenges.
  • Highly self-driven, capable of independent work while fostering cross-team collaboration.
  • Curious and proactive, eager to uncover root causes behind user and business behaviors.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and structuring undefined problems.
  • Excellent communicator able to articulate design rationales to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Skilled at balancing competing priorities without compromising detail or quality.
  • A collaborative individual open to constructive challenge and team input.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Proven track record designing B2B SaaS products such as dashboards, portals, or admin tools.
  • Experience in consumer mobile app design for Android and/or iOS platforms.
  • Hands-on involvement in end-to-end user-centered design processes from discovery to implementation.
  • Proficiency in creating wireframes, prototypes, and UI designs ready for production.
  • Strong background collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders throughout product development.
  • Experience operating independently or within a small design team.
  • Preferred: Background in telecom, fintech, security, or regulated sectors.
  • Preferred: Experience designing AI-enhanced product features and conducting user research/testing.
  • Understanding of user personas, behavioral segmentation, and audience cohort definition.
  • Experience establishing or contributing to design systems and component libraries.
  • Strong grasp of UX principles, information architecture, interaction design, accessibility, and usability.
  • Well-versed in platform-specific mobile design guidelines for Android and iOS.
  • Knowledgeable in SaaS and web application design patterns.
  • Familiarity with the impact of design on technical implementation and development effort.
  • Comfortable with user-centered design methods and research techniques.
  • Aware of AI-assisted design and collaboration tools.

Skills

  • Exceptional UI and visual design skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experienced with Figma or equivalent design tools including prototyping, components, and auto-layout.
  • Adept at creating clear user flows, wireframes, and production-ready design assets.
  • Excellent stakeholder collaboration and communication.
  • Capability to explain complex design concepts visually and verbally.
  • Ability to work closely with engineering teams under technical constraints.
  • Effective prioritization and multitasking in fast-paced environments.
