About the Role
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to become a vital part of our expanding team. This full-time, onsite position in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, is suited for individuals eager to craft intuitive, user-friendly digital interfaces that balance functionality with visual appeal. Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other cross-functional teams to build compelling web and mobile experiences that enhance user satisfaction and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop user-friendly and aesthetically appealing interfaces for both web and mobile platforms.
- Conduct thorough user research, analyze competitors, and perform usability testing to gain insights into user behavior and needs.
- Design user flows, wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes, and finalize high-fidelity designs.
- Create and sustain design systems, style guidelines, and reusable UI elements.
- Work collaboratively with product managers, developers, and stakeholders throughout product development cycles.
- Convert business goals and user feedback into effective user-centered design solutions.
- Regularly conduct usability tests and refine designs based on feedback and performance metrics.
- Ensure that all designs comply with accessibility standards and are optimized for responsive design.
- Stay informed about latest UI/UX trends, emerging technology, and industry best practices.
- Present design concepts and clearly communicate design rationale to key stakeholders.
Candidate Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Multimedia, Computer Science, or related disciplines is required.
- Prior experience in UI/UX design, product design, web design, or mobile app design is preferred.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalents.
- Solid grasp of user-centered, interaction, information architecture, and visual design principles.
- Experience with creating wireframes, prototypes, user journeys, and managing design systems.
- Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility guidelines like WCAG, and usability standards.
- Basic familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end development concepts is advantageous.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and presentation capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience or interest in AI-assisted design tools and productivity software is a bonus.
