Role overview

Dyno Nobel is hiring an Underground MPU Operator for its Perth, Western Australia operation. This is a full-time onsite position with a FIFO roster from Perth on an 8:6 schedule, designed to support work-life balance.

Compensation

  • Base pay ranges from $127,500.00 to $143,202, plus superannuation, benefits, and nightshift loading.

What the role involves

You will join the underground operations team and operate UG MPU vehicles to deliver blasting products at site. The job includes preparing blast holes for charging, which covers hole preparation and loading, setting up the required equipment, managing explosives, priming, and stemming. The role also calls for a strong focus on safety, clear communication, and prior hands-on experience with underground charge-up work across development and production blasting.

Key duties

  • Carry out pre-start checks and carry out weekly asset inspections.
  • Support preventative maintenance tasks and help with troubleshooting when required.
  • Assist with explosive-related work activities.
  • Share practical knowledge with clients and crews.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.
