Job Overview
Dyno Nobel Canada Inc. has created a Labourer Trainee Program to expand the representation of women across its Retail Sales & Operations locations. This entry-level opportunity is based in Bedford, Nova Scotia, and is intended for women who may not otherwise consider applying for current openings. No prior experience is required, and full training is provided.

Program Purpose
The program has been introduced to increase the number of women employed at Dyno Nobel Canada Inc.'s Retail Sales & Operations sites in Bedford, Nova Scotia. It is designed to open the door to entry-level candidates and provide on-the-job training for all selected employees.
Eligibility and Basic Requirements
- This opportunity is open to women who meet the stated criteria.
- No formal work background is needed for this role.
- Successful candidates will receive complete training after joining.
- Candidates should have good work habits and a positive attitude.
- Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak English, and communicate clearly in both verbal and written form.
- A professional manner is expected while on duty.
- Passing the required background screening is mandatory.
Role Responsibilities
- Use equipment and hand tools to support the team in delivering safe, timely, and high-quality service to customers.
- Carry out basic upkeep on assigned equipment to help ensure dependable and safe operation.
- Monitor gauges and make equipment adjustments as needed to maintain correct performance and accurate product delivery.
- Assist the site team in supporting customer needs safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety rules and maintain safe conditions in the shop, magazine, while operating equipment, and at blast sites.
- Keep the work environment safe at all times for yourself and others.
- Immediately report incidents and unsafe or hazardous conditions to the appropriate supervisor.
- Take part in safety training and meetings to actively support workplace safety programs.
