Job description
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Tunnel Operator (m/f/d) to join our Tunnel Operations team located in Zella-Mehlis, Thuringia. This is a full-time, onsite position starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect tunnel structures regularly to ensure safety and integrity.
- Perform maintenance on tunnel infrastructure and associated auxiliary facilities.
- Carry out tunnel cleaning and washing procedures.
- Secure workplace safety during active work zones within the tunnels.
- Participate in winter service operations as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completed vocational training as a road maintenance worker, road builder, or a comparable specialized profession, or qualification as a road maintenance worker via company-specific examination.
- Possession of a Class CE driving license and willingness to operate company vehicles, including during winter road maintenance duties.
- Knowledge and compliance with guidelines for securing roadwork sites (RSA).
- Readiness to work in shifts, including weekends and on-call duties.

Additional Information
The selection process will be conducted by a commission. The salary is based on pay group E7, with individual salary scale level determined according to the collective agreement of the Autobahn company (MTV-Autobahn).
