About the Role

YMCA Wellington & District is seeking dedicated individuals to join their Board of Trustees. This voluntary position aims to support young people aged 16–25 facing homelessness or housing difficulties by helping create a stronger future. Trustees will play a pivotal role in guiding the organization's strategy, maintaining strong governance, and maximizing impact across Wellington, Telford, and nearby areas.

Role Details

  • Voluntary position with travel expenses reimbursed
  • Commitment includes attendance at up to six board meetings annually plus one training or strategy day
  • Based in Wellington

Candidate Profile

No prior trustee experience is required. The organization encourages individuals with fresh ideas and enthusiasm to apply, especially those with a background in finance, housing, governance, or the charitable sector. Passion for the YMCA mission is paramount.
