Trust Lawyer - Russian Speaker with 8+ Years Legal Experience

About the Role

We are looking for an accomplished Trust Lawyer to join our office in Dubai. This role involves delivering comprehensive legal drafting, structuring trusts, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and offering legal assistance across fiduciary and private client services.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and modify trust deeds, agreements, and related legal documents.
• Create and update legal precedents, templates, and necessary documentation for the Trust Division.
• Offer expert legal counsel on trust frameworks, fiduciary tasks and trust-based products.
• Oversee AML and CFT compliance processes including customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), sanctions screening, and goAML reporting.
• Conduct compliance assessments, evaluate risks, and perform regulatory audits.
• Assist in preparing trust accounts, compliance documentation, and regulatory manuals.
• Provide legal training and guidance about trust law and compliance to internal teams.
• Contribute to the creation of new trust products and keep informed about relevant legal and regulatory changes.

Candidate Requirements

• Currently residing in the UAE with valid UAE residency status.
• Available to join immediately is highly valued.
• Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or an equivalent qualification.
• Possesses at least eight years of pertinent legal experience in trust law, fiduciary services, private client services, corporate or financial law.
• Strong familiarity with UAE AML/CFT laws and compliance for Free Zone operations.
• Experience with customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, sanctions screening, and goAML reporting is advantageous.
• Exceptional skills in legal drafting, analysis, and advisory.
• Fluent in Russian language.
