About the Role
We are expanding our team and looking for a dedicated Truck Safety Coordinator to oversee safety and regulatory adherence for cross-border trucking operations between Canada and the USA. This role is based on-site in Patiala and requires a candidate with a strong background in trucking safety and fleet management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee driver safety protocols and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements across Canadian and U.S. trucking fleets.
- Utilize Samsara and Motive platforms to monitor compliance with Electronic Logging Device (ELD) standards and Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Ensure full compliance with the regulations outlined by FMCSA, DOT, and Canadian transportation authorities.
- Maintain comprehensive Driver Qualification (DQ) files along with safety records and audit documents.
- Conduct driver onboarding processes, provide safety orientations, ongoing coaching, and track driver performance.
- Perform thorough investigations of accidents, violations, or any safety incidents and develop corrective action plans.
- Collaborate closely with dispatchers and fleet operation teams to enhance safety metrics and compliance levels.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of three years' experience in trucking safety, compliance management, or related fleet operations.
- Proficient with Samsara and Motive software platforms for fleet safety management.
- Deep understanding of ELD, HOS, FMCSA, DOT rules, and Canadian transportation legislation.
- Experience with cross-border trucking at the Canada-USA interface is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
