Job Overview
This role requires professional truck driving skills to transport goods safely and efficiently. The position is based entirely on-site in Brampton, Ontario, requiring direct presence for daily operations.
Languages and Education
- Proficiency in English is essential.
- Completion of secondary (high) school education is required.
Experience
Candidates should have between 1 and less than 7 months of relevant truck driving experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver courteous customer service with professionalism.
- Handle loading and unloading of cargo.
- Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods securely.
- Inspect and monitor vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
- Carry out brake adjustments and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Conduct emergency roadside repairs as necessary.
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain clear communication by receiving and relaying information to central dispatch.
- Keep accurate records of cargo, driving hours, distance covered, and fuel usage.
