Role overview

We are looking for a Trino Administrator to manage and support distributed SQL environments. The role involves working with Trino/Presto clusters, tuning query performance, maintaining security controls, and ensuring stable operation across data platforms. The position is based in Hyderabad, with openings also mentioned for Mumbai and Bangalore.

Experience

Candidates should have 6 to 10 years of experience overall. The detailed requirement also mentions 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in the relevant technical areas.

Core responsibilities

Administer Trino/Presto distributed SQL engines and support daily cluster operations.
Manage distributed SQL workloads and keep the environment reliable and performant.
Install, configure, and fine-tune Trino engines and catalog setups.
Connect Trino with Hive, HDFS, S3, and other data sources.
Improve query performance and optimize cluster behavior.
Set up and maintain security controls such as LDAP, Kerberos, and SSL.
Monitor cluster health and resolve performance or stability issues.
Handle catalog and connector configurations, including Hive, Iceberg, and S3.
Work with Linux/Unix systems and use shell scripting where needed.
Apply best practices for operating distributed SQL systems.
