Role Overview
This role involves collaborating with the Tree Planting team to provide safe and quality services aimed at maintaining healthy and well-managed urban trees. Responsibilities cover a variety of tasks such as pruning, tree removals, and responding to storm damages, all while working alongside team leaders to ensure council standards are upheld.
Candidate Profile
Applicants should be motivated, enthusiastic, safety-conscious, cooperative team members with strong problem-solving skills. A background in horticulture or arboriculture and practical experience will be highly valued.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
- Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent qualifications with arboriculture/horticulture experience.
- Individuals holding a Certificate III in Horticulture will be compensated at Grade 2 levels.
- Candidates without Certificate III but with recognized horticulture industry experience will be placed at Grade 1.
- Possession of a minimum Medium Rigid (MR) truck licence is required.
Additional Information
Applicants must successfully undergo a pre-employment functional medical examination, including drug and alcohol screening.
