Role overview

Community Concierge Services is looking for a Traveling Trash Collector to handle doorstep trash and recycling pickup for apartment communities in the Atlanta, GA area. This is a full-time evening role, ideal for someone who prefers working at night and can handle travel as part of the job.

Compensation and benefits

• Annual salary of $52,000.
• Per diem payments when overnight travel is required, with lodging covered.
• A company pickup truck is supplied, so your personal vehicle will not be used for work.
• This is a W-2 employee role rather than an independent contractor arrangement.
• Pay is deposited twice a month on the 5th and 20th.

Schedule

The position follows an evening-heavy schedule, with most properties beginning service around 6 pm or 7 pm. Regular driving and travel are part of the role, and weekend work may be needed when assignments require out-of-town travel. Typical shifts run from about 7 pm to 1 am, though some nights may run longer.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a company-issued pickup truck to reach assigned apartment communities.
• Use Slack and the company app to stay in contact with the team.
• Collect tied trash bags and recycling from residents’ doorsteps.
• Move collected waste to the property’s dumpster or compactor.
• Maintain clean, broom-swept compactor and trash chute areas.
• Restock dog station bags and common-area waste bags as needed.
• Interact with residents in a courteous, professional manner.
• Help train newly hired team members.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license with at least 5 years of clean driving history is required to qualify for the company truck.
• Candidates must be 21 years old or older.
• Willingness to travel on short notice for stretches of up to 3 weeks.
• A smartphone with an active data connection is necessary.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, and work outside in varied weather conditions.
• The right candidate should be dependable, detail-focused, and professional.
• An active bank account is required for direct deposit.
