Overview
Ejabi Group, a prominent wholesaler of ceiling, partition systems, and building materials in the GCC and East Africa, seeks a qualified Transportation Supervisor based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role entails planning, coordinating, and overseeing road transportation activities from Saudi Arabia to GCC countries, ensuring efficient, timely shipment loading, dispatch, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and manage road transportation operations from Saudi Arabia to GCC regions.
- Engage daily with transport firms, truck drivers, factories, warehouses, customs agents, and internal logistics teams to facilitate seamless shipping.
- Schedule sufficient truck resources in alignment with factory production and shipment readiness.
- Supervise loading activities at supplier factories, guaranteeing punctual completion.
- Track shipments rigorously from factory dispatch to final delivery locations, ensuring safety and timeliness.
- Proactively monitor shipment statuses and swiftly address transportation challenges.
- Maintain precise transportation documentation using Microsoft Excel.
- Compile and present daily, weekly, and monthly transportation performance reports.
- Collaborate with customs clearance entities to prevent shipment delays.
- Report operational issues such as delivery setbacks, vehicle malfunctions to management immediately.
- Ensure all shipping and transportation paperwork is complete, accurate, and well-organized.
- Foster strong professional interactions with all stakeholders including suppliers, transporters, warehouses, customs agents, and customers.
- Identify and implement transportation process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce delays.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in road transportation or logistics within the GCC region.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations and logistics between Saudi Arabia and other GCC nations.
- Demonstrated expertise in coordinating effectively with various logistics stakeholders.
- Excellent skills in planning, scheduling, coordination, and problem resolution.
- Advanced abilities in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and shipment tracking.
- Experience generating comprehensive periodic logistics reports.
- Strong grasp of shipment tracking systems and transport documentation protocols.
- Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal capabilities.
- Mandatory fluency in Arabic and English, both oral and written.
