Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site role in the Greater Boston area. The Transportation Logistics Manager will take ownership of day-to-day transportation operations, including route planning, schedule coordination, driver communication, customer service handling, and process oversight. The role also involves reviewing logistics performance, keeping operations aligned with applicable regulations, and partnering with internal teams to support broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
The position calls for close coordination of transportation activities and ongoing operational control. You will be expected to organize routes and schedules, support drivers, respond to client requests, monitor service quality, and help improve efficiency across the transportation function.
Qualifications
Applicants should bring experience in transportation management along with a solid grasp of logistics and supply chain operations. Strong planning and organizational abilities are important for managing schedules and optimizing routes. Clear communication and customer service skills are needed to work effectively with drivers, customers, and vendors. The role also requires the ability to juggle priorities in a busy environment. Knowledge of industry regulations is valuable, and experience in waste management or recycling would be an advantage. A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
Additional Information
Spanish language ability is considered a plus. Comfort using logistics technology platforms and software will also be beneficial.
