Role overview
In this position, you will oversee transport operations for Qatar Aircraft Catering Company, ensuring flights are dispatched on time and in line with airline requirements, food safety standards, and airport safety rules. The role also covers daily vacation and overtime coordination, monthly KPI compilation, OTP analysis, roster preparation, vehicle maintenance tracking, and record management for ramp safety training.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and support the punctual dispatch of assigned flights in accordance with airline specifications, global loading procedures, food safety standards, and airport safety regulations.
- Keep custody of issued tablets, radios, PPE, and probe guns, and ensure these items are properly protected.
- Carry out Voyage Report investigations for the Transport Department.
- Implement management directions related to aircraft delivery and handling, food safety, quality control, and security.
- Oversee loading and unloading for all flight types, including complex services, ultra-long-haul operations, VIP flights, charters, private flights, and other ad hoc operations when needed.
- Ensure compliance with ramp safety rules and marshalling procedures while working airside.
- Coordinate the allocation and day-to-day performance of equipment operators and other drivers in the Service Delivery team.
- Recommend training programmes for new and existing staff and provide timely feedback.
Administration and reporting
- Organize daily vacation and overtime requirements and maintain related reporting.
- Compile the monthly KPI reporting pack.
- Review on-time performance data.
- Prepare overall Transport Department rosters under the guidance of Duty Supervisors.
- Handle rostering administration, vehicle maintenance management, and associated records.
- Maintain ramp safety training records.
Qualification
The employer is looking for either a high school qualification with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree/equivalent with at least 1 year of job-related experience.
Job-specific skills and conditions
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Valid HGV driving licence.
- Experience with all types of aircraft handovers.
- Prior rostering experience.
- Ability to remain flexible with working hours and perform well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of aircraft loading, catering vehicle loading, and fleet management.
