Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Accra Region involves managing daily transport operations by planning and scheduling vehicle movements, coordinating ground transportation services, and optimizing fleet utilization. The Transport Manager supervises drivers and transport personnel, ensures adherence to safety, regulatory, and company standards, and maintains accurate records and reporting. Responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams and external partners, resolving operational transport challenges, and driving improvements in service quality, cost efficiency, and punctual delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong expertise in operations management encompassing planning, coordination, and process improvements.
- Experience with transportation and fleet management including routing, scheduling, and vehicle resource optimization.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills for managing stakeholder relationships and providing timely support.
- Good knowledge of transport regulations, safety standards, and compliance protocols.
- Educational background preferably in Mechanical Engineering (Automobile option) or related fields.
- Familiarity with transport management software and ability to analyze performance data.
- Previous experience within logistics, transport, or aviation/ground support sectors is advantageous.
- Relevant academic qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, strong problem-solving aptitude, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
