About the role
Skywork AI is hiring a Malay localization specialist/translator to support the StarMaker team. The position focuses on adapting in-app content into natural Malay so that users have a smooth, high-quality experience. Along with localization work, the role includes limited regional operations support aimed at improving engagement and the quality of localized content.
Employment details
This is a full-time role. The work arrangement is flexible, with options to work remotely or on-site.
Key responsibilities
- Adapt UI content, marketing messages, event materials, notifications, and other product copy into Malay.
- Check and refine translated content to keep it accurate, consistent, and culturally appropriate.
- Update and maintain the Malay glossary and style guide to support consistency across translations.
- Assist with regional operations by reviewing localized campaign content, supporting community activities, and helping with language-related needs for local events.
Requirements
- Native-level or near-native Malay ability with strong written communication skills.
- Solid English skills; knowledge of Chinese is an added advantage.
- Background in translation, localization, content writing, or a similar area.
- Experience with mobile applications, social media, or online entertainment is preferred.
- Strong eye for detail and a consistent focus on producing high-quality work.
- Comfortable handling multiple priorities and working to deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on experience with CAT tools or localization platforms.
- Interest in music, karaoke, live streaming, or online communities.
- Previous exposure to regional marketing or operations support is a plus.
