Translator (English 10 Arabic)

About the Role

We are seeking a professional Translator skilled in both English and Arabic languages to facilitate clear communication by translating written and spoken content between English and Arabic. This role supports smooth interaction across various sectors such as education, business, government, and healthcare by bridging language and cultural gaps.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate translations of documents and spoken material between English and Arabic, preserving meaning, tone, and style.
• Deliver live interpretation during meetings, conferences, and interviews involving English and Arabic speakers.
• Proofread and revise translated content to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to linguistic standards in both languages.
• Apply cultural sensitivity to maintain appropriateness and avoid offenses within translations.
• Develop and sustain glossaries for industry-specific or technical terminology for consistent translation quality.
• Conduct research to comprehend varying subject matters and update terminology knowledge continually.
• Handle all confidential information discreetly with respect for privacy and sensitivity.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy, consistency, and preservation of original intent in all translations.
• Manage multiple translation tasks efficiently while adhering to deadlines.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in English or Arabic language studies.
• At least two years of translation experience, ideally within an educational setting.
• Fluency close to native level in both English and Arabic with strong command of their grammar, vocabulary, and idiomatic usage.
• Understanding of cultural contexts, traditions, and customs of both language communities.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking capabilities.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality due to job sensitivity.
