Job description
Role overview
This position focuses on building strong client-facing relationships at the front line to grow transactional sales, originate trade and working capital solutions, support cross-selling, and deepen client engagement within the RMB Corporate Banking segment. The role is responsible for meeting transaction banking revenue objectives by executing a structured origination and sales strategy, sourcing and shaping deals, completing due diligence, disbursing solutions, and managing clients on an ongoing basis.
Key responsibilities
- Support achievement of the TXB budget by developing annual sector tactics that help expand revenue, working together with TXB product teams, other Corporate Banking teams, and Coverage.
- Lead strategic initiatives and carry them through from planning to final delivery.
- Oversee deal pipeline activity, bring together the right deal team, and partner with product management to build the most suitable solution.
- Set pricing in a way that fits the wider relationship pricing strategy while protecting profitability and market competitiveness.
- Apply strong knowledge of relevant systems and how those systems connect and depend on each other.
- Use management information, activity data, and pipeline reporting to support origination and business growth.
- Track competitors, emerging technologies, sector trends, and broader macroeconomic forces to identify sector-level opportunities and risks for transactional sales.
- Handle project management and onboarding activities, including implementation and delivery.
- Prepare specialist credit reports, term sheets, information memorandums, debt package descriptions, offers, and similar documentation.
- Build and sustain productive relationships with business partners to improve collaboration and strengthen the execution of sector sales objectives in line with transactional business needs.
- Understand client needs, expectations, perceptions, and banking behaviour so that solutions are well targeted, while acting as the customer advocate to encourage innovative and best-practice product design.
- Show solid understanding of liquidity management, trade solutions, and working capital products.
- Deliver consistent, professional, and high-quality sales and client management support, including pipeline ownership, RFP responses, proactive proposals, presentations, call reports, lead generation, and oversight of implementation.
Requirements
- A BCom, Business Information Systems degree, or another business-related qualification is required.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience with strong working knowledge of TXB banking, payments and clearing, treasury and cash management, trade and working capital products, portfolio management, and the sales lifecycle.
- Project management experience will be an advantage.
