About the Role

The Training & Development Specialist is tasked with designing, developing, delivering, and continually enhancing employee training initiatives. As a member of the Learning & Development team, this role promotes corporate learning strategies, leads dynamic training sessions, crafts instructional materials, and aids new hires in smoothly transitioning from training to their operational responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and deliver training programs aligned with business objectives.
  • Support various corporate training efforts, ensuring a broad offering of learning resources including instructor-led sessions, e-learning modules, self-study guides, and hands-on practice.
  • Maintain precise records of employee development activities within the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Collaborate with organizational leaders to assess workforce performance and identify training needs.
  • Conduct training needs assessments to support ongoing training program refinement and development.
  • Execute assigned training projects independently and fulfill related duties.
  • Review and update all training resources biannually, aiming for quarterly refreshes when feasible.
  • Oversee and update up-training programs, instructor-led classes, and self-directed educational content.
  • Document and monitor new hire issues, communicating insights to management effectively.
  • Report relevant leadership concerns, propose improvements, and share training feedback as appropriate.
  • Prepare training materials, scheduling, and manage class logistics punctually.
  • Handle new hire communications without delay.
  • Provide coverage for the Training Manager during breaks or absences.
  • Independently conduct and coordinate training classes.
  • Perform other training-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Adult Education, Instructional Design, or a related discipline, or equivalently relevant experience/license.
  • 1 to 2 years experience delivering training, creating instructional materials, and developing learning content within a corporate setting.
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and content creation tools.
  • Sound understanding of instructional design techniques and Adult Learning Theory.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full training lifecycle from planning through delivery and evaluation.
  • Experience facilitating trainings for both leadership and general employee groups.
  • Adaptable and capable of thriving in a fast-moving environment, embracing change constructively.
  • Strong emotional intelligence coupled with excellent interpersonal communication.
  • Independent worker capable of juggling several priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Well-developed organizational and documentation skills.

Salary and Employment Details

The position offers an annual salary of $60,000, and is a full-time onsite role based in the United States.
