About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate Council's employee training, compliance, and workforce development programs, ensuring effective service delivery.
  • Oversee the Council's housing portfolio, including allocation, managing tenancies, accommodation oversight, and maintaining housing records.
  • Keep accurate and compliant records related to training and housing, adhering to legislative, policy, and reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with employees, tenants, supervisors, training providers, and outside stakeholders to provide timely and efficient services.
  • Support administrative duties within the People & Safety department while contributing to initiatives that promote continuous improvement, employee well-being, and a positive workplace atmosphere.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

  • Highly motivated and organized individual enthusiastic about helping people and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Proficient in balancing administrative, coordination, and customer service tasks with a commitment to delivering excellent results.
  • Strong communicator and effective collaborator embodying values like respect, communication, humor, pride, trust, and teamwork.
  • Demonstrated skills in organization, administration, and record keeping.
  • Experience in training coordination, housing administration, or comparable positions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and various business systems.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Attributes that are advantageous but not required include qualifications in HR, Business, Training or Property Management, knowledge of housing, tenancy, HR or workforce development, a current C-class driver's license, and experience in local government environments.
