Job description
Role Overview
The Training and Development Specialist is responsible for managing technical training activities at Khazeen, aiming to boost employees' knowledge, skills, and competencies aligned with the company's business goals. This role also involves managing training centers and maintaining relationships with external training providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze job descriptions to identify essential skills and develop a competency matrix for job roles.
- Examine performance appraisals to detect skill gaps among employees.
- Collaborate with business line managers and section manager to determine necessary skills for employees to perform their tasks effectively.
- Create personalized training plans in accordance with employees' career paths.
- Design training programs that align with business strategies to meet organizational training needs.
- Evaluate employee training needs through interviews and assessments, ensuring suitable training is provided.
- Design and administer an effective induction program for new hires to familiarize them with the company policies and procedures.
- Conduct induction sessions to equip new employees with essential company knowledge for their roles.
- Monitor training effectiveness using participant evaluations collected after each session.
- Analyze trainee feedback and coordinate with department managers to make improvements ensuring high-quality training delivery.
- Regularly engage with line managers to gather feedback on employee performance post-training.
- Manage training billing and claims processes with external vendors.
- Develop strong relationships with department heads to facilitate training needs assessments and planning.
- Build and maintain connections with external training vendors, freelance trainers, consultancy firms, and logistics providers.
- Support and participate in training-related events.
- Maintain HR training systems, databases, and records accurately, ensuring secure storage and backup of all training information.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in training and development roles.
