Job Overview

This role is based in the Service Department of NASS Engineering Services, located in Mahape, Navi Mumbai. The Trainee Engineer will work under the supervision of a Service Engineer in a medium-sized company operating in the marine and offshore industry. The position focuses on hands-on electrical engineering support related to marine diesel alternator services and other electrical systems on board marine vessels.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate multimeters for electrical measurements and troubleshooting.
• Interpret and analyze circuit diagrams relevant to the systems serviced.
• Conduct insulation resistance tests (megger tests) to ensure device safety and reliability.
• Understand and apply knowledge of basic alarm systems onboard.
• Read and comprehend schematic diagrams to facilitate repairs and maintenance.
• Prepare comprehensive tool lists required for service jobs.
• Document work performed accurately after completion of tasks.
• Familiarize with different parts of electric motors used in marine applications.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Educational Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering (SSC/HSC may also be considered).
• Optional additional certifications include an Indian passport and Police Clearance Certificate (PCC).
• Freshers are encouraged to apply, with experience range considered up to 6 months.
• Good understanding of diesel engines is advantageous.
• Skills required include time management, strong observational abilities, and excellent communication skills.
