Job description
About the role
This is a hands-on, outdoor position based in Kilmarnock for someone who likes working as part of a team and enjoys delivering a high standard of service. In this role, you will travel to client locations, support the setup of traffic control arrangements, and help resolve traffic-related issues as they arise.
What the role involves
You will be responsible for delivering and installing traffic management equipment at customer sites while following company standards and all legal requirements. A key part of the job is guiding customers on how to use the equipment correctly so they can operate safely.
You will also inspect equipment that is returned, complete the necessary paperwork or digital records, and carry out maintenance and repair work on traffic equipment. The role requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, following instructions and procedures carefully, and completing documentation accurately, mainly using an electronic device. You should also be comfortable communicating in a positive and approachable way with customers and members of the public.
Location and working conditions
The base location is Kilmarnock, although you may live anywhere within the wider region because the depots serve large areas. The role must comply with working time regulations and domestic driving hours.
What you will receive

- Enhanced rates for weekends and bank holidays
- Overtime paid at up to 1.5x
- 45 hours per week, with overtime available
- A permanent position
- Full training and PPE provided

About you
